You're a guy and you're getting things done, but life isn't what you want to be. Your relationship isn't what it used to be. You're taking care of everyone else but don't have time to take care of you. You want to be a great husband, and father or son but you don't feel it. Life is a roller coaster of ups and downs and you want some balance. Your worries are overwhelming you, You don't need another weekly obligation but you want more out of life.
You worry all the time and don't know how to stop. You don't know how to stop the unwanted thoughts. You get nervous about work, being in certain places and situations. You don't feel like doing anything. You don't sleep well and are annoyed all the time.
You feel sad and can't concentrate on anything. You don't care about anything anymore. The thoughts of guilt and hopelessness are overwhelming. You just want to feel again and don't know what to do.
You've been in a relationship for a while but things have changed. The passion has waned. You don't spend time together and when you do it's not the same. You want the relationship feel like it did in the beginning.
First, looking for a counselor sucks. It's so hard finding someone who you want to work with. There a million therapist profiles and websites, many of which stink and all seem to say the same things. And sometimes you just think why even bother?
But I don't want you to spend one minute more here than you want if we aren't a match for each other. I have tried to make it simpler for you to determine that.
Second, I try to be the kind of therapist I would go to myself. I don't have a magic wand or special therapy powers. I'm a straightforward,, practical, no BS counselor. I'm direct about the issues you want help with in therapy. I'm an active therapy partner who finds solutions to problems.
